Edge has received full planning permission for the redevelopment and extension of 22 Bedford Square, a Grade 1 building in the Bloomsbury Conservation Area of London, one of the best preserved squares in London. Bedford Square is a Grade 1 listed building with a four storey mews building to the rear dating from the 1980s. Edge’s design to refurbish and remodel 22 Bedford Square includes replacement of a dated link structure with a glazed three-storey design in the lightwell to the rear of the mews building. The extension creates additional space increasing the net lettable sq ft of office space to a little under 11,000 sq ft.

Racheal Cadey, Principal - Board Director and Founder, Edge, says, “Our design scheme is ‘Georgian contemporary’, classically and sympathetically restoring the Georgian building with simple and contemporary insertions. We want to create an inspiring office environment while respecting and preserving the aspects of the buildings that are of architectural and historic significance.”
