OVERVIEW
At the end of its 10 year lease, Land Securities’ building ‘Cardinal Place’ needed to be redeveloped to attract a new generation of occupier and reflect the developer’s positioning as industry leading and innovative.
Our response was to reposition the concourse as a community space within 80-100 Victoria Street strengthening the building’s position within a hive of competitive developments. This entailed the creation of a place-making brand, the creation of the building identity system, digital tenant directories and environmental design.
Large-scale bespoke feature pendants with interlocking kite shapes (derived from the ‘V’ within the identity) adorn the reception areas, creating intrigue from the building approach. Fractal white marble reception desks and feature walls introduce the visitors to this stylish space. We created a series of communal areas; waiting area, cafe and business lounge, continuing throughout with exquisite detailing and a craft focus that includes banquette booths with brass inlay detailing and lighting rafts that frame the spaces.
Setting the benchmark across Landsec’s properties
The space has become the go-to pro-working space within the development
