A commercial redesign
Post Office
OVERVIEW
It all started with a series of stakeholder workshops focused on establishing a sustainable commercial proposition for the Post Office's 'crown' retail network. (and before we all knew of the Horizon Scandal!) From these workshops we defined a retail format that prioritized space allocation based on commercial drivers and key customer missions, all while embodying the Post Office's values of care, challenge, and commitment.
Tonik Edge took these values to heart, breathing life into them through "The Science behind the space." The approach ensured that space allocation directly addressed commercial needs and customer priorities, fostering the creation of a community-centric store.
We developed several pilot stores including a pioneering concept store in Southwark designed to trial new ideas for the future of branches, and the transformation of the Kennington Park Road branch in South London into a prototype branch tailored to the needs of the local community. Their success led to a UK role out.
