OVERVIEW

 

We worked in partnership with Waitrose to help them innovate and retain their leadership positioning in the UK.

We were commissioned to develop the following four departments which have been rolled-out successfully across their store network:

- Front of store
The first of the new focus areas was the front of store customer experience, designed to promote increased quality and consistency of customer care by creating a centralised concierge desk service proposition with a scale-able offer for all store format sizes.

- Beers, wines and spirits
To create a place that makes Waitrose the ‘go to’ brand for inspiration and direction; ‘Market Leaders’. A ‘must see’ experience which drives the extensive BWS product range to every occasion and mission - empowering the customer to make the right choice for their needs.

- Bakery
The ‘Art of temptation’ – the ‘Bakery’ concept, developed with the in-store category team focusing on communicating authenticity of production. Temptation through theatre, interaction and stunning product display was brought to life by the design team at Tonik Edge.

- Horticulture & Flowers
A relevant, exciting and affordable quality Waitrose Flower Garden offer with a lifestyle focus on kitchen garden grow-to-eat produce, along with essential garden tools, seasonal plants and accessories for the hobby gardener.
