OVERVIEW
For a brand with over 2,500 stores in the UK, individuality was key. Therefore the solution involved the development of a kit of parts that allowed each site to create uniqueness through materiality, furniture choice and hand-crafted bespoke artworks.
After successful trials, the scheme has been developed into a series of Global Guidelines, maintaining brand consistency across all markets.
Each chapter is self contained, setting the overall strategic importance of what is required, showing specific details and also includes a ‘check list’ for design teams to self-assess prior to issuing to Costa for concept approval. This reduced design iterations and improved drawing turn-around time.
